Crystal Palace are now closing in on a deal to sign Daniel Munoz from Genk.

Well, a lot has happened in regards to the Colombia international this week.
Munoz has gone on strike at Genk in order to force a move to Selhurst Park, refusing to train with the Belgian outfit.
The South American has also agreed personal terms with Crystal Palace – so the only remaining stumbling block was for Dougie Freedman to settle on a fee with Genk.
Now – according to the South London Press – a total agreement is close.
It is also mentioned within the story that Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne become free agents at the end of the season, suggesting that Crystal Palace plan to make Munoz a regular starter.
The 27-year-old has been superb across 29 appearances for Genk so far this season, scoring seven goals, including a bicycle kick, while also providing two assists.

In our view, this could turn out to be another fantastic bit of business from Freedman.
The Guardian believe Genk want £8.6m for Munoz – a sum we presume Crystal Palace have now met – which represents peanuts for a Premier League side.
If the Colombian can translate his impressive performances into the Premier League, he could quite feasibly become a £30m footballer in no time.
Munoz is right in the midst of his prime at the age of 27, and also boasts 23 caps for Colombia.
Interestingly, 11 of those international appearances have come alongside Jefferson Lerma, so he should have no problems settling in at Crystal Palace.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation – by the sounds of it, a medical is not far away for Munoz.
