Crystal Palace are now planning to make a new bid for Adam Wharton – who Blackburn value at £25m.
That is according to Football Insider.
So, what is the latest on Adam Wharton for Crystal Palace fans to digest? Let’s take a look…
Crystal Palace not giving up on Adam Wharton
Well, Dougie Freedman has already seen an £18.5m bid rejected for the England U20 international.
However – according to Football Insider – Crystal Palace are now ready to make a second offer worth in excess of £19m.
It may still not be enough to satisfy Blackburn, who are said to want £25m to sell Wharton this month.
A story from The Athletic added that the Championship outfit also want the 19-year-old to be loaned back to Ewood Park for the remainder of the season, which would make little sense for Crystal Palace.

Nevertheless, Freedman is not giving up on this transfer just yet by the sounds of it.
Wharton has impressed once again for Blackburn this season in a holding midfield role, scoring two goals while also providing three assists in 26 Championship appearances.
Adam Wharton could join Daniel Munoz at Crystal Palace
Freedman has been busy in this final week of the transfer window.
Not only has Crystal Palace’s Director of Football sent a bid for Wharton, but the Scot has also now finalised a deal to sign Daniel Munoz from Genk.

As reported by Bob Faesen of HLN Sport, the Colombia international is now flying to London to undergo a medical, after Crystal Palace agreed a €10m (£9m) fee with Genk.
The South American even went on strike at the Jupiler Pro League outfit in order to force his move to Selhurst Park.
Be sure to keep an eye on that situation, as an official announcement could be made over the weekend.
