Crystal Palace are still looking for a new wing-back this summer to compete with Tyrick Mitchell.
Crystal Palace are still aiming to strengthen Oliver Glasner’s options this summer at wing-back.
After snubbing the chance to sign Ryan Sessegenon, Glasner is now eyeing up potential alternatives to challenge Tyrick Mitchell.
One of these is Union Berlin’s Robin Gosens who is a strong contender to fill the gap in the Palace squad.
However, he is not alone with Archie Brown of Gent being linked for months with being the man Palace want to sign.
Now, the Eagles have reportedly lodged a bid for another target and it’s said that the club are mulling it over.

Crystal Palace submit a bid for Filip Kostic
In the bid to strengthen at left wing-back, Palace’s search has brought them back to Juventus and Serbian winger Filip Kostic – having opened talks earlier this week.
But now according to Tutto Juve, the Eagles have made their opening move for Kostic, by submitting a bid to sign him worth £6.8m.
This matches the reported valuation that the Serie A giants have of the Serbian who Glasner knows very well having signed him at Frankfurt.
After receiving the bid, Juventus did not reject it but are considering whether to accept or not.
Kostic could be perfect for Jean-Philippe Mateta
Based on what Aleksander Mitrovic said about Kostic back in 2022, Jean-Philippe Mateta could be in for a treat by getting to play alongside the Serbian.
“Kostic is my favourite winger at Juventus,” explained the former Fulham striker about his international teammate.
“Filip is one of the best wingers I’ve played with. If you put him in a position that exploits his potential, he repays you with crosses and assists.
“I’m not just saying it out of friendship, but from experience. I scored several goals thanks to Kostic.”
The reasoning for this is that Kostic is dangerous going forward and capable of excellent crosses, which Mateta with his size could make good use of.
