For Crystal Palace, the hunt for a Michael Olise replacement is now looking like it’s coming to an end with a deal now close.
Even before Michael Olise was sold, it was clear that Crystal Palace were in need of a new winger or two and since his move to Bayern Munich, this need has only grown.
Options on the right are now just Andre Ayew and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, with the latter subject of interest from Southampton.
Due to this, the Eagles have been scouring the globe for a replacement, with bids for Marcus Edwards and Jaden Philogene coming and going.
But now, Dougie Freedman is closing in on getting his man, and it’s in the form of a former Premier League winger.

Crystal Palace make fresh Ismaila Sarr bid
It appears that the Eagles’ search for a new winger has finally come to rest with Marseille’s Senegalese winger Ismaila Sarr.
Palace have already seen one bid rejected for the former Watford star, and has now returned with a fresh bid, according to reports.
According to world-renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Palace have now submitted an offer worth a total of £12.6m (£11.7m up front and £840k in add-ons).
This offer also includes a sell-on clause for Marseille on the future sale of Sarr should that happen. Romano added “deal on” at the end of his tweet, which makes us believe we are close to a “here we go”.
In his tweet, he also confirmed that personal terms between the player and club are practically agreed already as was previously reported.
Now it seems it’ll just be a case of getting this move over the line, ideally prior to Palace heading to the USA on Tour, following Saturday’s friendly against Crawley.
Sarr could be an incredible signing for Palace
Assuming this move goes the way it seems to be heading, with Sarr joining the Eagles, he will likely be heading on the US Tour next week.
Getting this done in time is therefore imperative, so he can begin to build a relationship with his teammates and they can learn his game.
Sarr is a player who, like Iliman Ndiaye will be regretting his move to Ligue 1, and in his last Premier League season he scored five and assisted two for a completely awful Watford side.
He is a winger with all the talent possibly needed to shine under Glasner, so hopefully we get him in soon and he can begin finding his place in the system.
