Crystal Palace fans react to Daichi Kamada’s ‘very good’ performance in 1-1 draw against Charlton

Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to Daichi Kamada’s performance for the Eagles in a pre-season friendly match against Charlton Athletic.

Oliver Glasner made a brilliant impact at Crystal Palace after replacing Roy Hodgson as manager of the Eagles.

The Austrian certainly built up a rapport with the Selhurst Park faithful with results significantly improving and this included a dominant 4-0 victory over Manchester United.

Ahead of the new season, Glasner was linked with a move to Bayern Munich but chose to stay at the club.

New signings have been made at Palace, including Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada, and the former Lazio star made an instant impact for the club.

Fans react to Kamada’s debut for Palace

The Japan international seemed to line up in a pivot role, rather than in one of the two number ten positions, which is where has played throughout his brilliant career.

Kamada provided the key assist for Palace’s only goal against Charlton Athletic which led to a good finish from Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

Fans have been reacting to the midfielder’s performaces against Charlton and they have seemingly been impressed by what the Japanese star had to offer.

“Daichi Kamada looks very good in the middle of the park for Palace,” one fan wrote on X. Another fan said: “Riad and Kamada been our best 2 players.”

This would certainly be good news as another new signing in Chadi Riad performed well for the South London club.

“That touch from Daichi Kamada showcased his incredibly high footballing IQ,” a third said.

Another fan was seemingly blown away that Palace managed to sign Kamada on a free: “We got Kamada on a free! Guys won’t truly understand until the league starts how mad this is.”

On Chadi Riad’s performance for Palace, one fan said: “21 Years old & already looks brilliant. Dougie Freedman may have done it again.”

Kamada could be key for Palace heading into new season

Kamada decided to end his stay at Lazio following the expiry of his contract and he could play a key role for Glasner’s side.

The Japanese international will surely be pushed higher up the pitch for the club and he could be the Michael Olise replacement for Palace.

Kamada looked bright and played a key role in the equalising goal. He could be set for an important season under Glasner.
