Crystal Palace take on Liverpool this weekend with Oliver Glasner’s side looking to register their first win of the season before the second international break.

Everton beat Crystal Palace 2-1 last time out, despite Marc Guehi firing the Eagles ahead, with a Dwight McNeil double denying them a valuable point or three.

With that now out of the way, Palace are preparing for the challenge of Liverpool at Selhurst Park this weekend, with Oliver Glasner looking to repeat an upset he caused at Anfield earlier in his tenure.

With Arne Slot’s side coming to town, the game will kick off at a different time than usual. Here’s everything you need to know about the vital Premier League clash in South London.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool team news

Speaking in his press conference ahead of the game, Glasner has said that defensive signing Trevoh Chalobah is close to starting his first game for the Eagles.

However, one player who will not be featuring against the Reds is Matheus Franca. The Crystal Palace boss confirmed that the Brazilian had suffered an injury problem.

“It’s his abductor groin. It is a tough situation for him especially and for us,” Glasner told the press.

Cheick Doucoure is also close to returning from his injury setback with the aim being that the midfielder will return by the second week of the international break.

Daichi Kamada is set to retain his place in the Palace side, and that’s despite the Japanese international struggling against Everton.

Glasner was on the defensive with Kamada in his press conference claiming that criticism was unfair and that the summer signing has a chance to prove his manager right against the league’s current leaders.

Liverpool are set to be without Harvey Elliott after the midfielder fractured his foot in his first few weeks under Slot.

Federico Chiesa is a doubt with the summer signing still recovering from an unspecified injury, having played just 78 minutes for the Reds so far.

The forward was involved in training on Friday, but is facing a late fitness test to see if he is available to face Palace.
