Crystal Palace’s season revival has taken a bit of a hit in the past week, with injury concerns creeping back into the forefront of Oliver Glasner’s mind.

Despite being on a three-game unbeaten streak, Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Wolves is a huge blow for Crystal Palace considering it was a game which should have been put to bed by half-time.

Oliver Glasner was left furious with some VAR calls, while also frustrated with his own players finishing in front of goal.

This result sees the Eagles remain 17th position in the Premier League and struggling to make a convincing push away from relegation.

This struggle will only be multiplied by the injury concerns which have been creeping into the squad once again.

Eddie Nketiah set to miss Fulham game

During last week’s Carabao Cup triumph over Aston Villa, Glasner was dealt two injury blows with Adam Wharton finally requiring surgery.

Additionally, Eberechi Eze was ruled out until the international break at the very least – now another blow has been dealt.

It comes according to journalist Edmund Brack, who reports Eddie Nketiah has picked up a hamstring injury and looks to be a major doubt for the Eagles’ clash with Fulham on Saturday.

He continues that it is unclear the time-spell of Nketiah’s injury, but that he is yet to train with his Crystal Palace teammates this week.

This is a real blow and leaves Crystal Palace with just Ismaila Sarr as a first-choice option behind the striker – along with the midfield being paper thin.

Oliver Glasner must now turn to Crystal Palace academy

With this latest injury news emerging out of Selhurst Park, options for Glasner are looking increasingly slim with Eze and Matheus Franca also missing.

Now, Sarr is the only first-choice option Glasner has which means there is a place open with Jeffrey Schlupp and Asher Agbinone likely to be fighting over who gets it.

Glasner explained last week why he’d used Schlupp over the exciting youngster – but from the start this weekend it may be time to take a risk and turn to the academy.

As well as this position – central midfield could also be the subject of debate over starting an academy player with Justin Devenney best placed in the absence of Wharton, Jefferson Lerma, and Will Hughes through suspension and with Cheick Doucoure still being eased back in.
