After losing Michael Olise, Crystal Palace are now keen to do one thing with Oliver Glasner after the immediate impact he had on the club.
For Crystal Palace, this summer has already seen plenty of change with the exit of Michael Olise being the biggest change this far.
There have been arrivals such as Chadi Riad and Daichi Kamada who have bolstered the squad, currently in pre-season training at Copers Cope.
But regardless of what happens in the transfer window, there will be excitement over the latest evolution of Oliver Glasner’s team.
After how excellent the Eagles were in the final 10 games of the season, hopes and expectations are high over next season and now it’s been reported that Palace are keen to see the improvements continue.
What Crystal Palace are planning for Oliver Glasner
Speaking exclusively to We Are Palace, following on from the report on HITC, transfer expert Graeme Bailey has shared that Palace are keen to secure Glasner long-term.
In the original report, it was reported that despite only being in the job a matter of months, already Palace chiefs have seen enough to want to offer a new deal.
Palace are looking into Glasner’s contract and the loyalty shown by not being interested in a Bayern Munich move should also go in his favour.
“This won’t necessarily be next week or even next month – it could be, but the Palace hierarchy are making it clear to Glasner they want him long-term, they believe in him and are delighted.
“People think it might be a bit early, but let’s not forget within months of him being at the club he could have gone to Bayern – if they think he is special, as he has been explained to me, why not tie him down long-term!”
With Glasner, Steve Parish could see his Palace becoming better than ever before.
Palace should secure Glasner’s future
If Parish’s Premier League winning prediction is ever to come true, it feels like it’ll stem from Glasner. That’s not to say we predict or expect that, but it’s the best Palace has been.
So it’d make sense to dedicate resources to securing his future at the club, especially with the fact other clubs have already shown interest.
Glasner will have serious ambitions this coming season with possible European football on the agenda as Joachim Andersen has explained.
So while not an urgency, getting Glasner on a new contract at some point would be a wise move by the club.
