The transfer window is over and Crystal Palace will be delighted with their business.
Heading into deadline day, work had to be done by Crystal Palace – and Dougie Freedman delivered.
Four deadline-day deals for Crystal Palace, with Maxence Lacroix being one to make the switch – along with Matt Turner and an announcement for Trevoh Chalobah is also expected.
However, it is the arrival of Eddie Nketiah which steals the show.

Steve Parish reacts to Eddie Nketiah’s arrival
Speaking to club media, Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has commented on the long-awaited arrival of Nketiah from Arsenal.

“It’s brilliant to welcome Eddie, a senior England international, back to South London – we are delighted he has signed for Crystal Palace.
“I am confident that his energy, talent and hunger to succeed will endear him to his new teammates and supporters alike.”
The club didn’t just share Parish’s thoughts on the move, but also the immediate reaction of Nketiah.
“It’s amazing to sign for Crystal Palace – I’m excited to get going. Every time I come back to South London, it always puts a smile on my face, so it’s good to be back home.”
Crystal Palace will be without major signings vs Chelsea
Despite an impressive quality of deals incoming on deadline day, with Lacroix, Nketiah and Chalobah all being excellent – we cannot help but feel the Eagles were slow in doing so.
A deal was agreed for Nketiah on Tuesday, so surely the Eagles could have gotten things sorted for him to be in the squad on Sunday to face Chelsea.
Meanwhile, early Thursday afternoon saw an agreement reached for Lacroix, so he again surely could have been completed in time for registration.
Now, Crystal Palace are set to face Chelsea with a weakened squad – however, we are very excited about the line-up Oliver Glasner will be able to produce after the international break.
