Oliver Glasner handed Matt Turner his debut on Wednesday night, with the United States international catching the eye.
Crystal Palace progressed into the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, with Daichi Kamada being the big winner as it was his goal that won the game.
The game finished 2-1 at Villa Park as the Eagles overcame Aston Villa for a second successive win for the first time this season.

Daniel Munoz was arguably the MVP of the game for Crystal Palace, with his assist getting things rolling thanks to an Eberechi Eze header.
Matt Turner impressed fans on his debut for the club, and afterwards, he revealed how Glasner justified picking him over Dean Henderson.

What Oliver Glasner told his players before Matt Turner debut
After a successful debut, Matt Turner was speaking with club media when he revealed his thoughts.
“To be here, the way I was received by the fans, the players in the dressing room and more importantly the coach and the staff and to be rewarded for my hard work.
“The gaffer has said publicly, in front of the team that it was earned not given, so I’ve been working hard in training. It’s nice to see the results of that and get what I feel like I deserved in terms of that.”
Continuing, Turner pushed the point that he is absolutely thrilled to be playing for the Eagles.
“[I’ll] continue to push and you know Deano has been playing brilliantly in the Premier League so we’ve got a really nice culture and group and it’s a group I’ve dreamt of being a part of.
“It feels really good to have represented this football club and I’m looking forward to many, many more.”
Does Matt Turner have a future at Crystal Palace?
Since arriving as a deadline day loan to cover the sale of Sam Johnstone, this is the first we have seen from Turner and despite his one error, making eight saves is impressive.
However, with it being a loan, he would have to do something quite special to see this move turn permanent.
To date, we would suggest this is not the case and that Dean Henderson will be straight back into the starting line-up on Saturday against Wolves.

It will however be interesting to see if Glasner starts him against his former club Arsenal in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
Of course, next summer we could very well be expecting the amazing on-loan Joe Whitworth to step up into the first-team set-up after his successful loan down in Exeter.
