The transfer window is now closed for Crystal Palace and the team is looking strong.
After a busy transfer window, Crystal Palace now have a squad worth bragging about for the 2024/25 season.
Deadline day alone saw four players arrive at Selhurst Park, with Eddie Nketiah being the marquee signing of the summer.
This has left Oliver Glasner with a squad that is stronger than the one he inherited, with only Michael Olise not being replaced at Crystal Palace.
So with that in mind, here is the strongest possible XI Glasner could field when everyone is fit and available.
Crystal Palace strongest possible XI 2024/25
After a strong summer of recruitment, Crystal Palace now boast an immaculate depth in defence which makes that the most hard to pick position now.
Midfield continues to be strong with lots of options, while up top it is also strong – besides the absence of Olise.
Here is the strong possible XI we think Glasner could field…
Dean Henderson
In goal, the sale of Sam Johnstone to Wolves only strengthens Dean Henderson’s position as the clear number one in Glasner’s side. He will be supported by Matt Turner in goal with the American joining from Nottingham Forest.
Trevoh Chalobah
The first new arrival in the line-up is Trevoh Chalobah who is on loan from Chelsea. Chalobah is not guaranteed to start, but it really is 50/50 between him and Chris Richards as the right-sided centre-back.
Maxence Lacroix
The second centre-back on the teamsheet for us is Maxence Lacroix, with the Frenchman almost guaranteed to start as one of the back three after his £18m move to Crystal Palace this summer.
Marc Guehi

The final centre-back is pretty obviously going to be Marc Guehi after a move to Newcastle failed to come off, he will play a key role for Crystal Palace this summer.
Daniel Munoz
At the right-wing back, no additions were made which means Daniel Munoz is the only real option and he is a great option at that.
Adam Wharton
Moving into the midfield, Adam Wharton is arguably the first choice after how impressive he has been since his move to Selhurst Park in January 2024.
Cheick Doucoure
Alongside Wharton, we imagine once Cheick Doucoure is fully fit, he will be slotted straight into the starting line-up as before his long absence he was held in the same regard as Olise and Guehi.
Tyrick Mitchell
On the left, Crystal Palace failed to make an addition despite Glasner asking for one. Therefore Tyrick Mitchell is bound to start and continue his impressive form.
Jean-Philippe Mateta

Moving into the attack, we feel Glasner may be best served adapting a little bit and this starts with a familiar face in Jean-Philippe Mateta starting as one of the three forwards.
Ebere Eze
The next forward is Ebere Eze who would be in a No.10 position, playing almost in between the two strikers creating a front three similar to how the current set-up has it just a different profile.
Eddie Nketiah
The final name on the team sheet is Nketiah, who cost £25m and therefore will start, so with Mateta being undroppable – both will likely play. Nketiah could be a phenomenal addition for Crystal Palace.
