Deadline day has seen countless twists and turns for Crystal Palace with both incomings and outgoings both proving complicated.
In the way of departures, Sam Johnstone was thought to potentially be heading out the door along with some rumours about Jean Philippe-Mateta.
However, with Mateta’s exit going radio silent, it seems Johnstone is the sole potential departure as Nottingham Forest retains an interest.

Crystal Palace identify Sam Johnstone replacement
With Forest having a £10m bid for the England international knocked back earlier this week, it’s surprising to hear that they’re continuing to look for a deal.
Palace have set a price tag of £15m on Johnstone and the Selhurst Park side don’t seem too keen on selling for lower than that.
However, in the event Forest manages to reach the asking price, Palace have identified Bournemouth’s Andrei Radu as a replacement, according to Sky Sports News.
The Romanian international would be cheap and has limited Premier League experience but enough to qualify him to back up Dean Henderson short term.
Who is Andrei Radu?
Radu is a four-time Romanian international who is currently Bournemouth’s back-up goalkeeper. He’s made two Premier League appearances this season for the Cherries and has conceded seven goals but boasts a better rate in the EFL Cup with four conceded in three.
He’s not a player we’d want playing regularly for Palace, however as a back-up, he could be a decent choice short-term anyway.
