Crystal Palace’s blockbuster deadline day is underway and with incomings expected, there could be movement on the departure side too.

We are expecting a busy day in regards to Crystal Palace transfer news on deadline day today with as many as three incomings and potentially a handful of outgoing deals too.

One player who could be on his way out as a Premier League side have joined talks over a deal, and that is Sam Johnstone.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper has been displaced throughout this season as Dean Henderson establishes himself in the number-one slot with some heroic displays.

Here is the latest with Johnstone’s possible departure from Selhurst Park.

Palace in Sam Johnstone talks over £15m sale

Transfer guru Alan Nixon has shared an update on Johnstone’s future just a day after reports suggested that a £15m bid could be enough to tempt Steve Parish and co to part with the England international.

He has claimed that Nottingham Forest has entered talks to sign Johnstone, with Palace not willing to sell for less than their £15m valuation.

It could be a welcome cash injection for Palace considering the heavy spending over the past week, although it will leave the Eagles needing a replacement.

Palace set for a fast end to the January transfer window

Palace may have started the month with a whimper, as little movement was expected, but they’re ending it with a bang.

Adam Wharton’s announcement is imminent, while Maxwel Cornet is thought to be a real option on loan this deadline day.

Another loan option could be Ajax striker Chuba Akpom, although there is heavy PL competition for his signature.

We can’t wait to see how the day pans out for Palace, with the sale of ‘sensational’ – as per Gary Lineker – Johnstone likely to be a big story.
