Crystal Palace are eyeing up a fourth summer signing with a bid now being prepared, despite some recent injury concerns.
This summer Crystal Palace has signed three quality players who are sure to play a big role in Oliver Glasner’s team this coming season, but further additions could yet be made.
Chadi Riad was the first to arrive as he joined the club in June. Following this, Daichi Kamada arrived on a free transfer from Lazio. The final addition so far was Ismaila Sarr, who joined from Marseille to replace Michael Olise.
However, the Eagles are not yet done with their business. This will be especially true if the possible departure of Marc Guehi goes through – with plenty of additional funds from sales.
Now Palace are preparing an offer for one of Glasner’s top targets in Maxence Lacroix. Here are all the latest…

Palace set to bid for Maxence Lacroix
Over the past few months, Lacroix has been the main defensive name linked with a move to Selhurst Park – Glasner has even held phone calls with Lacroix to convince him.
Most recent updates around this possible deal suggest that it could be close, with Florian Plettenberg suggesting a deal for Lacroix may have been reached.
Well now, according to German outlet WAZ, a bid for Lacroix could soon arrive – with the asking price believed to be in the region of £17m.
If Palace are to bid, the report adds that it would be difficult to refuse – likely due to the prospect of Wolfsburg losing Lacroix for free next summer.
The Frenchman wants to leave the Bundesliga side despite Ralph Hasenhuttl being keen to keep him this summer.
However, there could also be another issue with a possible move for Lacroix.

Lacroix suffers an injury blow
On Monday night, prior to the rumours of an offer being made Lacroix played in the DFB-Pokal for Wolfsburg. In the game, he injured his foot with a bruise forming which leaves him in doubt for this weekend’s game against Bayern Munich.
“It didn’t look good”, Hasenhuttl explained, as quoted by WOB Scorer.
While this does not sound serious, with just 10 days left in the transfer window it could be something that casts a doubt or two in Palace’s mind out of fear it is more serious than first thought.
Lacroix should be fine to make the move though although a medical must be extra intensive to make sure this is not an issue which could come back to haunt the Eagles.
