Crystal Palace’s transfer window could be set to heat up in the final two weeks of the market, with plenty of rumours surrounding the business the club may conduct.
Oliver Glasner has overseen a few key changes over the summer so far, with his Crystal Palace squad losing a star while gaining some others along the way.
Michael Olise joined Bayern Munich early in the transfer window, coming as a huge blow to the Eagles for the foreseeable future.
Dougie Freedman has worked hard to find suitable replacements while bolstering the options available to the Crystal Palace manager.
Daichi Kamada, Chadi Riad and Ismaila Sarr have moved to Copers Cope so far, though the deals may not be done there.
The backline has been an area of focus for the final weeks of the window, with talks surrounding Marc Guehi’s potential move to Newcastle and Joachim Andersen’s interest from Fulham.
Should either of the duo leave, there could be room for another centre-back signing, with the name Maxence Lacroix heavily linked.

Maxence Lacroix set for Wolfsburg stay despite Crystal Palace links
Lacroix has been a player on the radar of Crystal Palace over the summer, with just one year remaining on his contract at Wolfsburg.
It would see the 24-year-old reunite with Glasner, with the pair working together during the Austrian’s time in the Bundesliga.
Reports hinted that Crystal Palace had agreed terms to sign Lacroix this summer, in a deal that would be the fourth of the summer for the Eagles.
Other reports stated Crystal Palace would have to pay £17million for Lacroix, though that now seems unlikely after an update from his manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl.
Speaking to the press ahead of his side’s DFB Pokal match against TuS Koblenz, the former Southampton boss said: “He is a player who has stepped into a leadership role, someone who speaks up and looks after his teammates.”
With Lacroix now set to captain his side in the match, Hasenhuttl was also asked about the chances of a transfer to Selhurst Park.
“I know that he is staying,” the manager said, seemingly bringing any hopes of a transfer to an end unless there’s a U-turn in proceedings.
Crystal Palace transfer conundrum
Crystal Palace face a situation in the transfer market where they may only be prompted to make another signing if a player leaves.
Glasner hinted as much in his press conference last week, stating: “We have 23 players in our squad. 22 are fit. We have enough.”
It suggests that a player such as Lacroix could only be on the radar for an eventual exit – with Guehi and Andersen heavily linked with moves away.
With such little time left in the market though, it could be tough for the Eagles to make such a quick move in the event of them losing a key player.
