Eze remains at Selhurst Park and has had a fairly decent season to date – while Olise is embarking on his first campaign with Bayern Munich scoring five and assisting three in just six games so far, while making the £50m fee for Olise look cheap.
The pursuit for the next Eze and Olise-esque signing is already underway with Dougie Freedman already eyeing up young talented with a huge ability. But now the Eintracht Frankfurt director has recalled back to the Olise pursuit and admitted his regret over missing out.

What Eintracht Frankfurt director has now said about Michael Olise
While there are countless teams who likely registered an interest in signing Olise at one point or another, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche has now revealed that for the Bundesliga side, it was finances which prevented them from making a move.

Krosche has been quoted by BILD, who wrote that the sporting director for Oliver Glasner’s former club had expressed disappointment in not signing Olise back in 2021.
“He had an exit clause at the time. I think it was €8m (£6.6m) or €9m (£7.4m). But we didn’t have the money to pay at the time. He’s a very, very good player”.
Olise went on to cost Crystal Palace £8m in what looks to be a complete bargain of a swoop.
For Frankfurt, it will be even more painful to have missed out on Olise considering he is looking like a world-beater so far in the Bundesliga since his arrival.
Crystal Palace already looking to repeat £42m profit move
On Olise, the Eagles ended up making a £42m profit which is a pretty impressive amount and will leave Freedman searching for the next big profit acquisition.
This explains why Crystal Palace are interested in Tyler Dibling who has been coined as the next Jack Grealish.
Additionally, Millwall’s Romain Esse has been the subject of interest from the Eagles, with Freedman scouting him.
Aside from this pair, we imagine the club has a list comprising several names who have world-class potential and are viewed as the next Olise.
