Crystal Palace fans are all saying the same thing about one of their standout performers in the 1-0 win against Tottenham on Sunday.

Palace had not won any of their opening eight Premier League matches so there was a lot of pressure on Oliver Glasner’s side to get a result.

But the Eagles responded to the challenge as they were better than their opposition throughout the contest.

Several Palace players deserve huge credit for the victory but one in particular has been lauded on social media.

Crystal Palace fans in agreement over £18m man

Crystal Palace were criticised for the summer sale of Joachim Andersen, who had been one of their best players in recent seasons.

The Eagles received £30 million from Fulham for the Denmark international and replaced him with Maxence Lacroix.

And Palace fans are now in agreement that the controversial move was the right one after Lacroix’s display against Tottenham.

Here is what a selection of them have said about the defender on Twitter since the final whistle:

Maxence Lacroix is Crystal Palace’s signing of the summer

Crystal Palace made seven signings in the summer transfer window, including Eddie Nketiah, Ismaila Sarr and Daichi Kamada.

But none have been as successful as Lacroix, whose £18m addition from Wolfsburg looks like a really shrewd piece of business.

Even though Palace have not had the results to prove it – until today – Lacroix has formed a strong relationship with Marc Guehi and Trevoh Chalobah in a back three.

At 24 years of age, the Frenchman has the potential to have a long and successful career at Selhurst Park.
