Crystal Palace lost Michael Olise and Joachim Andersen in the summer but now it seems Oliver Glasner could lose another star.
The thought of losing yet another star player is daunting for the Eagles considering how shambolic the first seven games of this season have been – with Oliver Glasner seeing his side sit 18th in the Premier League.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 18 | 7 | 0 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 10 | -5 | 3 |
This comes after the summer exits of Michael Olise who joined Bayern Munich and also Joachim Andersen who made the switch to Fulham.
Despite these losses, Crystal Palace will have been delighted to retain both Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi.
Guehi is expected to stay with Newcastle not planning a January swoop, however, Eze could yet push for a 2025 exit to Spurs.

Jean-Philippe Mateta could be the Eagles’ next big sale
After the arrival of Eddie Nketiah in the summer from Arsenal, there were always going to be question marks surrounding the future of Jean-Philippe Mateta at Selhurst Park.
With contract talks stalling and some grievances with Glasner, now he may be the next big name to be sold by Steve Parish.

All signs right now for the Eagles No.14 are pointing out of Selhurst Park after a troublesome few months for the French striker, in which contract talks between Mateta and Crystal Palace have fallen through.
Now it has been reported by GiveMeSport that Mateta could be the next name the Eagles look to sell on, amid serious doubts about his future.
Mateta was open to an exit over the summer – with Roma among those to show an interest – but the Eagles were not listening to any offers for last season’s top scorer.
This situation has changed and now he is likely to be the next big sale with the relationship between Mateta and Crystal Palace frayed – a falling out with Glasner demonstrating this.
To make his exit even more likely, Mateta admitted he was upset not to have left Crystal Palace in the summer. Mateta earns £50,000-a-week currently but with contract demands of £100,000-a-week, chances of him staying are slim.
Crystal Palace have a ready-made solution in Eddie Nketiah
With Mateta’s exit on the cards, it makes plenty of sense that Nketiah arrived in the summer as the marquee addition, costing £25m in the process.
Up until the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool, Nketiah had been deployed as a number 10 which hardly suited him as he is much more effective as a striker.
So the Eagles should be well-positioned to cope with the Mateta’s exit.
That being said, the goals need to start flowing, otherwise Dougie Freedman could be left scrambling for a Mateta replacement.
Nketiah showed against Liverpool with his goal – which was ruled offside – that he can finish with lethal effect when he gets a chance to do so – now he needs to start racking up the goals.
