Ismaila Sarr was Crystal Palace’s third summer signing, replacing Michael Olise in the process.
It was a long month wait between Michael Olise confirming his move to Bayern Munich and then the Eagles managing to replace him.
But finally, after several bids made and options considered, Ismaila Sarr arrived as Oliver Glasner’s new winger.
Glasner spoke glowingly about the Senegal international, while Sarr himself admitted the move was two years in the making.
Now, during an open training session, Sarr has been spotted donning his potential new number at Selhurst Park.

Ismaila Sarr Palace number revealed
Sarr has been officially an Eagles player for a week now, and finally, we know what number he will be wearing for his debut season.
On Thursday, Palace held an open training session at Selhurst Park for fans to watch.
The entire first team was there including those who had just recently returned from their holidays.
But it was Sarr and his number which caught our eye in photos taken at the event which have been published on X by Holmesdale Online.
Sarr can be seen in the bottom right photo wearing the No.7 training gear which not too long ago was owned by Olise.
So after seeing this, it is safe to assume that Sarr is the new Palace No.7 for next season.
Palace No.7 shirt history
Sarr is following in the footsteps of some recent icons of the club, by taking the No.7 which has a rich shirt history.
Olise is the most recent wearer of the shirt number and he will be still vivid in the minds of fans thanks to the incredible impact he had in just three seasons.
Looking a little further back, Yohan Cabaye donned the shirt from 2015/16 until 2017/18 and so did Yannick Bolasie from 2012/13 until 2014/15.
Sarr therefore has some recent greats to live up to, but with Glasner as his manager, we think he is likely to continue the line of fan favourites donning this number.
