Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has been a top performer in an otherwise poor side this season, and interest is building in him.
The 23-year-old has proven to be an outstanding signing from Chelsea, who are reportedly interested in bringing Guehi back to Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United have also registered their interest, and whilst a January exit seems impossible for the centre-back, unfortunately, a summer departure feels inevitable at this stage.
Palace do stand to earn a good fee for the England International though, and Liverpool have now entered their hat into the ring for his signature.
Liverpool are interested in Marc Guehi
A report from The Mirror has now revealed that Liverpool are looking to add a defender to their squad in the summer, and have identified Guehi as the perfect target.
Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk are ageing, and Matip is now set to be absent for the rest of the season. Guehi is seen as a long-term option who could also step in immediately given his experience in the Premier League.
The deal will wait until the summer, but it is clear that Liverpool intend to come in with a bid for Guehi.

Losing Guehi will be a big blow for Palace, but it seems highly unlikely that he will remain at Selhurst Park beyond this season.
It is still unclear who will be in charge of Palace by the end of the season, and the lack of ambition shown by the club in recent years has meant that their top talents may eye up moves elsewhere to benefit their own careers.
Given that three huge clubs are interested in the player, whom Gareth Southgate described as “excellent” earlier this season, Palace must ensure that they receive a hefty fee for Guehi, and replace him well, with Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera recently linked.
