Crystal Palace’s transfer window has exploded into life over the past week with one arrival confirmed and another on the way.

Daniel Munoz was confirmed on Tuesday morning as Crystal Palace‘s first signing of the window and his arrival fills a massive gap in the team.

He hasn’t lasted long as the newest recruit with Adam Wharton on the verge of completing his £22m transfer from Blackburn.

Both are massive additions to the squad at Roy Hodgson‘s disposal and are players who the club will be hoping can improve further.

Now, a third could potentially be on the cards with PSG forward Hugo Ekitike now labelled as ‘one to watch’ with little time remaining in the window.

Hugo Ekitike ‘one to watch’ ahead of transfer deadline

Speaking this morning on the Daily Briefing, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has given fans hope of further business after Wharton.

On PSG’s young forward, Ekitike, he admitted the Frenchman is ‘one to watch for the final hours – he’s available and he will leave PSG for sure’.

This comes as a boost for Palace given the fact he’s been a name linked with a Selhurst Park move multiple times in recent weeks and months, although a £30m price tag could be off-putting as a loan would be preferred.

The Kylian Mbappe compared forward has been linked with a move for months and if he’s available, it’d be difficult to rule out Palace making a move.

Crystal Palace wanted a striker and they have options

Even if Ekitike doesn’t end up arriving, a striker has been a priority all month for Palace with countless different names being linked.

Luis Henrique from Real Betis is one who has been linked in recent days however he’s unlikely to come cheap.

Meanwhile, Wilfred Zaha’s return is consistently being mentioned as a possibility, although the summer is more likely.

This could be accelerated if the sale of Jean-Philippe Mateta transpires over the next few hours and day.
