Maxence Lacroix is continuing to be linked with Crystal Palace, but Ralph Hasenhuttl has now had his say.
The Frenchman has emerged as a standout option for Crystal Palace in order to potentially replace Newcastle-bound Marc Guehi.
This week in particular has seen the interest in Maxence Lacroix develop and there has even been a reported offer made for the Wolfsburg defender.
Lacroix is not alone though, with Trevoh Chalobah also an option this summer as Chelsea looks to get rid of him.
But now, Lacroix’s manager has suggested that there are no intentions to sell him this summer.

Ralph Hasenhuttl assumes Maxence Lacroix will stay at Wolfsburg
As rumours continue to swirl around Lacroix and a potential reunion with Oliver Glasner, the Wolfsburg boss, Ralph Hasenhuttl has had his say.
As quoted by German outlet WAZ, the Wolfsburg boss still thinks he will be keeping Lacroix this season.
“I assume that he will stay with us. The preparation is pretty far advanced. It would be anything but helpful if he were to leave us now. I think he sees that something is happening here. That also helps him to say, ‘OK, I can definitely imagine going into the coming season with VfL’. That could certainly appeal to him.”
Hasenhuttl quite clearly does not consider Lacroix as a player he will lose this summer, but perhaps he is putting on his poker face because if the Frenchman is not sold this summer he could very well walk out the door for free next summer.
With a value this summer of around £17.1m, it could be that the Bundesliga side feels they have no choice but to sell.

Palace reportedly in final stages for Lacroix
Despite Hasenhuttl’s comments, it has been reported by TeamTalk that talks are still advancing.
According to the report, talks between Palace and Wolfsburg are in the final stages right now – something which contradicts Hasenhuttl’s belief.
Wolfsburg were reported to have been shocked by claims of Lacroix being close to a Palace move the other day – but there is rarely smoke without a fire.
Lacroix has already decided to leave the German side according to reports a month ago, with a call with Glasner convincing him to make the move.
For now, we need to wait and see what happens, as it is unlikely there will be movement at least until a Guehi resolution has been reached.
