The twists and turns of the transfer window are directly impacting Crystal Palace during a crucial period for the club.
Following on from an impressive end to the last Premier League season, Oliver Glasner is hopeful of kicking on with his side – with aims of more than just survival this time around.
The Crystal Palace boss has already implemented an impressive and entertaining style of play at Selhurst Park, with the summer giving a chance to bolster the squad even more.
That has taken a slight knock though, as plenty of rival teams have shown interest in key stars over recent weeks.
It’s that interest which has seen Michael Olise join Bayern Munich, Newcastle host talks over Marc Guehi and Tottenham eye a deal for Eberechi Eze.
With those players in the spotlight, it’s key for Dougie Freedman to find the next gems who will keep up the succession plan at Crystal Palace.
Daichi Kamada, Chadi Riad and Ismaila Sarr have been part of that by joining this summer, but plenty more can be done, with Fabrizio Romano giving an update on one particular target.

Antonio Nusa set for RB Leipzig transfer
One of the other options who has been linked with Crystal Palace is Club Brugge forward Antonio Nusa.
The 19-year-old had been touted as a potential replacement to Olise, with plenty of promise shown in his short career so far.
While there has been interest, Palace put talks over Nusa on hold, following uncertainty over the youngster’s fitness and injury record.

In that time, it seems as though the transfer dominoes have fallen into place over a transfer elsewhere.
With Dani Olmo leaving RB Leipzig to join Barcelona in a £51million deal, the German club appear to have turned to Nusa as their replacement.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed that a deal is done for the Norwegian international to move to Leipzig for a deal worth €21million [£18million] with add-ons on top.
A five-year deal has been agreed with a medical scheduled, coming as a potential blow to Crystal Palace.
Antonio Nusa alternatives for Crystal Palace
With another target now seemingly moving elsewhere, Palace will have to look at other options to bolster their forward lines.
Chelsea star Carney Chukwuemeka has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace, though he would fit more of an attacking midfield role.
There were also brief talks to bring Wilfried Zaha back to Crystal Palace, though those hopes appear to have faded.
While other targets are yet to appear, there may already be the next big star waiting at Copers Cope.
Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is set for a loan move to Sheffield United this season, with the youngster hopeful of proving himself with more senior minutes.
Should he impress at the top of the Championship, the step up to the Premier League may prove an easy one.
In that case, the club may save millions on any other potential deal they would pursue instead.
