Oliver Glasner is now under pressure at Crystal Palace after extending his winless streak to eight games in the Premier League.
The Eagles remain winless in the Premier League after Nottingham Forest added to the troubles with a 1-0 win at the City Ground on Monday.
As we approach the quarter-way mark for the season, to not having picked up a win is very concerning and seems to have the Eagles destined for relegation.

The entire Crystal Palace team is struggling, which makes absolutely no sense considering it is much of the team which went seven unbeaten to end the 2023/24 season – inspiring Glasner to target European football.
Such a woeful start to the season has now led to Steve Parish being forced to consider sacking Oliver Glasner. As much as this would be an unpopular decision, the Austrian is giving him no choice.
How Crystal Palace could line-up with Graham as manager
With Glasner struggling, Parish is considering a move to appoint Graham Potter who is currently without a job after leaving Chelsea.
This could see a series of huge changes at Selhurst Park with a system change and players’ roles being shaken up upon the arrival of the former Brighton boss.
Here is how the Eagles could line-up if Potter is appointed and uses his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation.
Dean Henderson
In goal, with Matt Turner, the only senior alternative – Dean Henderson is likely to be key for Potter with the No.1 enjoying a solid season despite his poor outing against Forest. Henderson will start, at least until next season when the in-form Joe Whitworth at this rate could usurp his senior teammate.

Daniel Munoz
Moving into the defence we see the first major change with a flat-back four as opposed to the five or three we are used to with Glasner. But Daniel Munoz should still be an important player for the team, although with a slightly more conservative role.
Trevoh Chalobah
Potter knows Trevoh Chalobah well from his time at Chelsea, and therefore we expect the English defender to be chosen ahead of Maxence Lacroix despite how good the Frenchman has been.
Moving to a back four means one of the three current centre-backs will have to be dropped, meaning Lacroix could suffer from Potter’s appointment.
Marc Guehi
Partnering Chalobah – at least until the January transfer window – we expect will be the armband-wearing Marc Guehi. A 2025 exit for Guehi is expected within the club, so Lacroix could soon take this spot.
Tyrick Mitchell
On the left, Tyrick Mitchell will be back in a far more familiar and comfortable left-back role and should become key for Potter in the event he does arrive.
Jefferson Lerma
Moving into the midfield, in principle, we expect that Potter’s would resemble Glasner’s with the double pivot and we fully expect Jefferson Lerma to be a huge part of this should there be a managerial change.
Adam Wharton
Partnering with Lerma, we expect will be Adam Wharton. Assuming the 20-year-old is fit, he is Crystal Palace’s best midfielder and has the potential to be even better – under Potter we would expect Wharton to be an absolute sensation and used as a key player.
Ismaila Sarr
If Potter comes in as manager, he will be playing more traditional wingers who sit out wide and with that in mind, Ismaila Sarr could be used as a starter – assuming AC Milan does not buy him in January.

Daichi Kamada
If it is a 4-2-3-1 that Potter implements, then he will need a number 10 with Daichi Kamada primed to fill that role. Kamada has been misused since his summer arrival, but this formation could give him a role which can get the best from him.

Eberechi Eze
On the left we expect would be Eberechi Eze, with Potter often using a midfielder here such as summer target Carney Chukwuemeka for Chelsea. Eze needs to do better, but he will know that himself. Potter will think he can extract even more from the Eagles talisman.

Eddie Nketiah
At Chelsea, Potter often played almost a false nine in theory as he will need to play a role in the build-up – with Eddie Nketiah filling this demand better than Jean-Philippe Mateta.
